Scoped

"Scoped" is a term used in the recording of broadcasts, taken from the longer term, "Telescoped".
In order to eliminate material such as music, but leave the rest of a broadcast intact, recordings are sometimes "Scoped", (music portion of recording removed) to save space and allow more of the critical portion of the show to be saved, while requiring less of the recording medium to do so.
